Vancouver, BC - February 21, 2001 - Totally Hip Software announces it will be releasing a cross platform version of the award winning LiveStage Professional QuickTime Authoring Environment software. LiveStage Professional is a multimedia environment with a professional feature set for creating broadband and interactive applications that unleash the full interactive power of the cross platform QuickTime multimedia architecture and player.

The new version of LiveStage Professional 3 utilizing QuickTime 5 will operate on Windows 98/NT/2000/ME and a corresponding upgrade for the current Macintosh version will also include support for the new Apple OS X operating system scheduled to ship on March 24, 2001. Both the Windows and Macintosh versions of LiveStage Professional 3 are scheduled to be available in the spring of 2001.

LiveStage Professional 3 for Windows and Macintosh will support the new QuickTime 5 features that include next generation advances in digital media technology. QuickTime is the most powerful cross-platform multimedia architecture and player that is developed and distributed by Apple Computers, Inc. QuickTime continues to be a leading method of deploying cross-platform broadband content, highly interactive applications and video for the web. LiveStage Professional 3 will enable technology masters in multimedia, broadcast and audio to create, produce and deliver impressive broadband and interactive wired movie content faster than ever in a cross platform environment.

Totally Hip Software develops cross-platform products (MacOS, OS X, and Windows 98/2000/NT/ME) built upon the QuickTime multimedia architecture. During the first quarter of fiscal 2001 ending December 31, 2000 Totally Hip developed programming techniques to enable it to efficiently port products from the Macintosh to Windows operating systems and economically create cross-platform products. This technology can now be applied to cost-effectively develop LiveStage Professional 3 in a common cross-platform code base enabling production of both a Windows and Macintosh version by the spring of 2001.

Totally Hip Software looks forward to delivering the award winning LiveStage Professional QuickTime Authoring Environment to both Windows and Macintosh multimedia authors. This should allow Totally Hip to expand its loyal developer community and customer base and provide LiveStage Professional users with increased opportunities to expand their capabilities and clientele.

Some of the new features that LiveStage Professional 3 will bring to both Windows and Macintosh multimedia authoring customers are:

S Interactive media skins that allow for delivery of custom interfaces
S Flash 4 support for integrating Flash with all other QuickTime media including video
S XML support for the dynamic creation of content or movies
S Server side connectivity for database support and movie generation
S Over seventy new wired actions to be added to the QScript scripting language
S Upgraded users manual including reference guide, tutorials and sample projects

The addition of a windows version along with the powerful new features and additional user support should enable LiveStage Professional to retain its status as the industries leading QuickTime authoring product. The ability to communicate and generate movies with XML and databases strengthens QuickTime and LiveStage Professional's position as a leading broadband and interactive web development environment.

Suggested retail pricing for LiveStage Professional 3 will be US$899.95. Current registered users of LiveStage Professional 2 will be able to upgrade to version 3 for US$199.95 or purchase an additional Windows license for US$499.95.
