LiveStage Professional 4.5 now includes support for the iLok hardware based dongle. Users can choose to continue using the software based authorization as they have been doing since the release of LiveStage Professional 4.0, or they can choose to use the iLok dongle instead.

Advantages to using the iLok hardware dongle

• An Internet connection is not required to activate your software with the iLok dongle


• You can install the application on as many computers as you wish and simply move the iLok to the computer that you wish to use at any given time to authorize it (self-managed)


• If you have other applications that use the iLok (ie. Pro Tools) you can store all of your authorizations on the same iLok

Advantages to using softwared based authorization

• You can authorize your software automatically over the Internet


• There is no additional cost to use the software based authorization


• Your software is automatically registered (with the StageDoor portal) on authorizing
