QSXE Component v3.0
QSXE QuickTime Component 3.0
With the addition of wired actions starting with QuickTime 2.5, Apple
Computer Inc. endowed QuickTime with an impressive array of features with which
designers can create fully interactive multimedia applications packaged as
QuickTime movies. Without "wired actions" QuickTime would simply be another
audio/video playback system.
QuickTime's extensible architecture gives its users yet another added benefit
- viewing more types of Internet content via QuickTime components, or
"plug-ins," created by other companies - like Totally Hip.
Totally Hip has created a new QuickTime component that is incorporated into
its new release of LiveStage Professional version 4.5. This new component, or
plug-in, is added to QuickTime when media requiring that functionality is
encountered. QuickTime seamlessly retrieves the component from a server and
installs it, then proceeds to play back the media.
Totally Hip Technologies has created a set of custom wired actions for use
with the LiveStage Professional (v4.5) Interactive Media Authoring system. This
set of custom wired actions are contained in a QuickTime downloadable component.
Since QuickTime components can be downloaded on-demand, LiveStage QScript
Extension Essentials (QSXE) component can be automatically deployed and updated
in a way similar to a browser plug-in.
With the addition of the LiveStage QSXE component, Totally Hip Technologies
can now create a virtually limitless array of wired actions and components to
quickly address the evolving needs of developers/designers to support ever more
complex uses of interactive QuickTime movies. The LiveStage QSXE component is
currently only accessible through the LiveStage Professional (v4.5) authoring
system.
QSXE Component Key Features:

- Print directly within your QuickTime movie (ie. coupons/maps/etc.)
